SG60 Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron is a type of ductile iron material grade in standard SABS 936 for South Africa. It has very high tensile strength, but small elongation. It is suitable for bearing heavy loads.

SG60 Cast Iron Mechanical Properties:
Tensile strength is minimum 600 Mpa.
Elongation is minimum 3%.
Brinell Hardness (BHN) 192-269 (This hardness range is only for reference).

SG60 Cast Iron Applications:
Ductile iron SG60 has very high strength, but its elongation is very small, so this material is excellent at bearing heavy loads, can withstand a certain degree of shock load, has good wear resistance, and is suitable for applications that require wear resistance, such as engine camshafts, crankshafts, heavy machinery parts, and components in agricultural and engineering machinery.
